Maki Sekuzu urodziła się w Tokio. Kształciła się i ukończyła Elmhurst Ballet School w Wielkiej Brytanii. Pracowała w Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet oraz K-Ballet Company. W repertuarze ma postać Klary oraz Cukrowej Wieszczki w Dziadku do orzechów, Kitty w Annie Kareninie, Peasant Pas de duex i taniec dwóch Willid w Giselle, a także rolę Donny Anny w Don Juanie. Tańczyła choreografię takich twórców jak: Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Sir Peter Wright and Sir David Bintley. Do zespołu Opery Wrocławskiej dołączyła w 2020 roku. W 2013 roku zdobyła pierwszą nagrodę na konkursie Cecchetti Classical Ballet Competition.

Maki Sekuzu was born in Tokyo. She trained and graduated from Elmhurst Ballet School in the UK. She has worked at Birmingham Royal Ballet, the Royal Swedish Ballet and K-Ballet Company. Her repertoire includes the character of Clara and the Sugar Bard in The Nutcracker, Kitty in Anna Karenina, the Peasant Pas de duex and the dance of the two Willids in Giselle, as well as the role of Donna Anna in Don Juan. She has performed works by choreographers such as Sir Frederick Ashton, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, George Balanchine, William Forsythe, Sir Peter Wright and Sir David Bintley. Maki joined the Wrocław Opera Ballet in 2020. In 2013, she won first prize at the Cecchetti Classical Ballet Competition.
