Tomasz Łykowski is a prizewinner of many national and international vocal competitions, including the Grand Prix at the 5th Z. Noskowski National Vocal Competition in Brzesko, the Grand Prix at the “Pearls of Art” International Vocal Competition in Kaunas, Lithuania, and Second Prize at the 2nd M. Swarowska-Walawska International Vocal Competition in Krzeszowice.

He studied singing at Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. He first trained with Professor Bogdan Makal and Jerzy Butryn, and then, in 2023, graduated with distinction from the master’s programme in the solo singing class of Rev. Professor Zdzisław Madej. He has also participated in numerous masterclasses with artists such as Eytan Pessen, Maciej Pikulski, Benjamin Bayl, Esther de Bros, Mathias Rexroth and Aleksandra Kurzak.

He has appeared in many chamber concerts and opera productions. While still a student, he performed in Stanisław Moniuszko’s farce The New Don Quixote or One Hundred Follies at Warsaw Chamber Opera. During the same period, he created the role of Sowizdrzalski in Karol Lipiński’s singspiel Kłótnia przez zakład, staged at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. The role comprised seven characters, which meant that he performed as many as seven arias in a single production. He completed his studies with the role of Guglielmo in W. A. Mozart’s Così fan tutte.

In 2020, the baritone appeared in the world premiere of Keiko Fujiie’s opera A Vermilion Calm, directed by Pia Partum, alongside leading Polish singers including Urszula Kryger and Jan Jakub Monowid. In the same year, he recorded the album Moniuszko: Songs. Volume 5 with pianist Jolanta Pszczółkowska-Pawlik. Soon afterwards, he began collaborating with Wrocław Baroque Ensemble.

At the beginning of 2024, he made his debut on the stage of Wrocław Opera as Perchik in the legendary musical Fiddler on the Roof. In May of the same year, he created the role of Taddeo in the premiere of G. Rossini’s L'italiana in Algeri.
