Phoebe Anderssen was born in Sydney, Australia in 2003. She started dancing at age 2, training with New South Wales International Ballet Academy until the age of 16. During her Australian training, she performed with the Australian Ballet Company in Rudolf Nureyev’s Don Quixote, Peter Wright’s The Nutcracker and Graeme Murphy’s Swan Lake. She was a New York finalist for YAGP in 2017 and 2018, receiving several scholarship offers.  Phoebe was also the Female Junior Winner of the Brisbane International Contemporary Prix in 2018.

Phoebe moved to Germany in 2019 to continue her training at Palucca Hochschule fur Tanz Dresden.  In her final year, she was selected represent the University during the 2023 Prix De Lausanne in the Partner School Choreographic Project, creating Bold, an original work with Goyo Montero.

Upon graduating, she joined Semperoper Ballet Dresden as an apprentice for the 2023/24 season. She worked with the company in programs such as Serenade, The Dream, Romeo and Juliet, In The Upper Room, and had the opportunity to perform the soloist role of Canary Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty. She joined the Wroclaw Opera Ballet for the 2024/25 season as a Coryphee.
