Mozart Trio is another encounter with salon music at the theatre on Świdnicka Street. This time, the programme features two chamber gems – one from the Classical period and the other from the early twentieth century.
Kegelstatt Trio is a chamber masterpiece by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, composed in 1786. The work was written for an unusual combination of instruments: clarinet, viola and piano. It has an intimate and serene character and is remarkable for the refined balance between its three voices.
Max Bruch wrote his Eight Pieces for Clarinet, Viola and Piano in 1910, at the age of 72. It is an outstanding chamber cycle of the late Romantic period. The individual pieces are characterised by deep lyricism, cantabile writing and an intimate atmosphere. The composer did not originally conceive the work as a strict concert cycle but at Wrocław Opera audiences will have the opportunity to listen to the complete work performed by the instrumentalists of our theatre.
