Born in 1986, in 2011 he obtained an MMus honours degree from the Wrocław Academy of Music after studies with Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil (composition), Cezary Duchnowski (computer music), and Zbigniew Karnecki (theatre and film music). He obtained his DMA in 2019. His works have frequently been performed in Poland as well as abroad (Germany, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Turkey, Italy, Hungary, Czechia, the United Kingdom, Belarus, Russia, Switzerland, Austria, the USA, Cuba, Ukraine, and Japan). 2013 saw the release by For Tune Records of PLANETONY, the first album wholly dedicated to Ryczek’s music, followed by Cello Works (DUX). Ryczek is a member of the Polish Composers’ Union, winner of many prizes in competitions for composers, including ZAiKS Award for the young generation composer (Musical Eagles 2025). He has received scholarships from the Minister of Culture, the Marshal of Dolnośląskie Voivodeship, and the Mayor of the City of Wrocław. He consults his music with the wind, sun, and his daughters: Rozalia, Aurelia, and Laura.
