Łukasz Ożga is a soloist with the Wroclaw Opera Ballet, where he has been dancing for fourteen years. He has performed in many ballet and opera productions during this time while collaborating with established national and international directors and choreographers. Łukasz also appears as a guest artist at ballet galas in Poland and abroad. In recent years, he has broadened his professional interests to include choreographic work. In this field, he prepares Wrocław Opera chorus for repertoire performances. In addition, he was commissioned to create original choreography for the premiere of Zygmunt Krauz’s opera Yemaya directed by Hanna Marasz in October 2019. For which he received great acclaim from audiences and reviewers. He has also been professionally affiliated with the Academy of Theatre Arts in Wrocław for six years, where he teaches dance. Thanks to his teaching work with his students, he has created many choreographies, which were presented during exams and shows at the end of the academic year. One of his choreographies was awarded by the Academy and presented to the public at the annual show as part of the Academy Open Days in 2017. The main roles created by Łukasz Ożga in ballet performances are: Siegfried in P. Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, Basilio in L. Minkus’ Don Quijote, Colas in F. Herold’s The Ill-guarded Daughter, Franz in L. Delibes’ Coppelia, Romeo and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet by S. Prokofiev, the titular Nutcracker in P. Tchaikovsky’s masterpiece, Jose in R. Shchedrin’s Carmen-Suita, Albert in A. Adam’s Giselle, Vronsky in R. Shchedrin’s Anna Karenina, the eponymous Don Juan in Ch.W. Gluck’s ballet.
