A graduate in animation and graphic design at Poznań University of the Arts. She made her debut in 2008 with the animation a.e.i.o.u at Mittwich Gallery in Berlin. She has authored several dozen large-scale multimedia pro jections in various urban spaces, for example at the Urban Affairs Festival in Berlin, Outer Spaces in Poznań, Skyway Light and Mapping Festival in Toruń, Lumo Bialistoko,Transatlantyk (Poznań/Łódź) and Wuhzen Theatre Festival in China. She is the author and co-author of multimedia designs for Wagner’s Die Walküre at Oviedo Opera (Spain), Mozart’s Idomeneo at Warsaw Chamber Opera, musical Przerwana cisza at Basen Artystyczny in Warsaw and Zaflis based on Moniuszko’s opera Flis directed by Michał Znaniecki. She was a coauthor of the multimedia installation, Ways of Innovation, presented during the Opening Ceremony of Wrocław 2016 European Capital of Culture. She was responsible for the visuals of Dorota Masłowska — Mister D’s concert tour and her video clip to Marcin Zabrocki’s piece Herbu warkoczyk was nominated for the YACH prize and the main prize at the O!PLA National Festival of Animated Films. Her large-scale new media exhibition, 30/30, took part in the 5 Mediations Biennale 2016 programme in Poznań. She is the author of the visual layer of the audiovisual performance by the jazz musician Fryderyk Szulgit during the Mediations Biennale 2018. Karolina Jacewicz is also a speaker at TEDxPoznań. She currently runs the Animation Lab at the Department of New Media of Adam Mickiewicz University and co-runs the MediaLAB Multimedia and Mapping Lab at the University of the Arts in Poznań. She has been involved in a number of commercial projects featuring graphic design, animation, multimedia and new media and stage design. In addition, she has worked as an artistic director in all these areas. Her clients in clude VGP, Mercedes, Audi, Danone, Orska, Franklin Templeton Investments, Allegro, HP, SAP (USA), Studio400 (Norway) and Polish Audiovisual Institute.
