Agnieszka Adamczak graduated with distinction from the solo singing class of Professor Katarzyna Rymarczyk at the Academy of Music in Poznań. In 2005, she made her debut as Pamina in W. A. Mozart’s The Magic Flute on the stage of the Grand Theatre in Poznań. From 2008 to 2010, she was a member of the International Opera Studio in Zurich. At Zurich Opera House, she appeared in productions including Peer Gynt, Kinderring, The Magic Flute, Die lustigen Nibelungen, Der ferne Klang, Luisa Miller, Ariadne auf Naxos and Juliette as well as in numerous concerts throughout Switzerland. She is a prizewinner of international competitions, including the Anneliese Rothenberger Competition in Germany, where she won First Prize in 2009, and the Concorso Internazionale di Canto “La Bohème”, where she received a prize consisting of the opportunity to perform the role of Musetta at Teatro Filarmonico in Verona. In 2010, she won Second Prize at the International Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition in Vienna. She has taken part in opera festivals including Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg in Germany, Glyndebourne in England and Aix-en-Provence in France. In 2011, Agnieszka Adamczak was invited by the Hyperion record label to take part in a recording of Francis Poulenc’s Huit Chansons polonaises with Graham Johnson, one of the world’s most highly regarded song accompanists.
Her recent appearances include performances of Leonid Desyatnikov’s symphony The Rite of Winter 1949 with the Musica Aeterna orchestra under Teodor Currentzis in Moscow and Perm; her debut at the Baden-Baden Festival, where she performed five soprano roles in Richard Strauss’s Die Frau ohne Schatten under the baton of Kirill Petrenko; and a concert of songs by Polish composers of the interwar period, entitled Music of My Soul, at the National Philharmonic in Warsaw.
She has appeared at opera houses including Grand Théâtre de Genève and Zurich Opera in Switzerland, Ópera de Oviedo in Spain, Opernhaus Magdeburg, the Grand Theatre in Poznań, Opera at the Castle in Szczecin, the Baltic Opera in Gdańsk, Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz, the Grand Theatre in Łódź and Wrocław Opera.
