Accessibility Statement

The Wrocław Opera in Wrocław undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public bodies. This accessibility statement applies to the Wrocław Opera’s website www.opera.wroclaw.pl.

Everyone has the right to request that a website, mobile app or any element thereof be made digitally accessible. You may also request that information be provided in alternative formats, for example, by having a digitally inaccessible document read aloud, or by describing the content of a video without audio description, etc. The request should include the details of the person making the request, specify which website or mobile app is concerned, and provide contact details. If the person making the request indicates a need to receive information in an alternative format, they should also specify the format of that information.

A public body should comply with the request without delay and no later than within 7 days. If it is not possible to meet this deadline, the public body must immediately inform the applicant of when the request can be met, provided that this period does not exceed 2 months. If it is not possible to ensure accessibility, the public body may propose an alternative means of accessing the information.

If the body refuses to comply with the request to ensure accessibility or provide alternative access to the information, a complaint may be lodged against such action. Once all other avenues have been exhausted, the complaint may also be sent to the Ombudsman (https://www.rpo.gov.pl).

Wrocław Opera House, 35 Świdnicka Street, 50-066 Wrocław

There are two entrances to the building: the main entrance and the staff entrance. The main entrance is accessible from street level.

The Opera House building is equipped with a passenger lift adapted for people with physical disabilities, as well as for the visually impaired and blind (Braille signage). Inside the lift cabin, there is an intercom system connecting directly to the building’s security staff. The lift goes up to the third balcony level.

Toilets for disabled people are located on the ground floor of the auditorium, and on the first and second balconies; there is also a baby changing facility on the ground floor of the auditorium.

In the auditorium, people with mobility impairments who use wheelchairs are seated on the ground floor in the front row, on the right and left sides of the auditorium.

There are four steps leading to the staff entrance – alternative access for people with mobility impairments using a wheelchair is only possible with the assistance of others.

The Wrocław Opera does not have its own parking spaces. There is a municipal car park next to the Opera building with spaces for people with disabilities.
There are no voice announcements or induction loops in the Opera building. Assistance dogs and guide dogs are permitted in the building and all its rooms.
